The use of artificial intelligence in agriculture has brought about a revolution in this sector. By collecting and analyzing data from drones, sensors, satellites, and weather stations, farmers gain a deep understanding of the health, needs, and environment surrounding their crops. This knowledge enables targeted decision-making in irrigation, fertilization, and pest control, and minimizes resource waste and environmental impacts. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving productivity, simplifying operations, and reducing environmental impacts in agricultural units in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces. The statistical population of the study is experts from the Agricultural Jihad Organization of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces, of which 210 people were selected as a sample based on the Morgan table. To select the sample size, a stratified random sampling method was used. The tool used to collect data is a questionnaire; its validity was obtained through a panel of experts and its reliability through Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The findings showed that the use of artificial intelligence can significantly contribute to improving the efficiency of agricultural activities, reducing resource consumption and better environmental management. However, the success of these technologies depends on several factors, including the level of awareness of farmers, technical infrastructure, costs and cultural resistance, which need to be considered in development policies and programs. The conclusion indicates that the development of technical training, increasing government support and improving infrastructure can play an important role in facilitating, implementing and effectively utilizing artificial intelligence technologies in the agricultural sector
